Smart digital locks offer advanced security features, including encryption and multi-factor authentication. They are designed to provide robust protection against unauthorized access, often exceeding the security levels of traditional locks.

 

  1. Can I install a smart digital lock on my existing door ?

Yes our smart digital locks are designed to be compatible with all wooden door installations. The door width must be from 35 MM – 65MM. it can be installed in an existing door also.

 

  1. What happens if the power goes out? Can I still access my home?

Our locks have a backup power option or a physical key slot for manual access in case of power outages. Additionally, low battery alerts are provided in advance.

 

  1. How do I grant access to guests or service providers without sharing my access code?

Our smart locks offer temporary or one-time access codes that can be generated and shared through the mobile app. This allows you to provide access to specific individuals for a limited time without compromising your permanent access code.

 

  1. Can I control the smart lock remotely, and is there a mobile app for that?

Yes , with a dedicated mobile app that enables remote control and monitoring. As long as your smartphone has an internet connection, you can lock or unlock your door from anywhere and receive real-time notifications.

 

  1. How difficult is it to install a smart digital lock, and do I need professional assistance?

Our locks are designed to be user-friendly and come with step-by-step installation guides. Installation is very easy no professional assistance is needed . we also offer a video tutorial describing each and every detail .   While some customers prefer DIY installation

 

  1. What happens if I forget my access code or lose my smartphone?

You can easily reset the lock from inside and set up again . additionally we also offer a mechanical key

 

  1. Are there any ongoing subscription fees for using the smart lock features?

   No

 

  1. Is the warranty applicable for NFC cards and mechanical keys as well?

The warranty provided for the HomeFirst smart lock covers the panel and mortise components only. NFC cards and mechanical keys are not included under the warranty.also any physical damage found will void the warranty

  1. What should I do if the battery runs out and I don't have the mechanical key to open the door?

If the battery is drained and you don't have the mechanical key to open the door, you can temporarily operate the smart lock by using an any external power source, such as a power bank or USB. This will allow you to access and unlock the door until the battery can be replaced or recharged

 

  1. What type of battery is used in the smart locks, and what is the battery life?

The smart lock requires 4 AA alkaline cells for power. The battery life is approximately 6 months, and you can check the battery percentage status within the app.
